Black McCuskey is pleased to announce that Attorney Gust Callas is a recipient of the Outstanding Law Alumni Award from The University of Akron School of Law. An honoree must be a living graduate of Akron Law who has demonstrated service to Akron Law, the community and/or profession; possesses outstanding professional accomplishments; and consistently demonstrates professional integrity. Award recipients will be recognized at a breakfast to be held on May 12th at The University.

Gust currently serves as Coordinator for the Labor and Employment Practice Area of the Firm.  He has extensive experience in litigation and specialty in the defense and counseling of clients in employment-related matters. Additionally, he was the first dual Certified Specialist in the State of Ohio in labor & employment and workers’ compensation. Gust received both his law degree and undergraduate degree in accounting from The University of Akron, receiving both degrees with the highest honors. He served as past President and Board Member of the University of Akron, School of Law, Law Alumni Association. Gust has been a mediator for the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio since the inception of the program. He is active in many community and civic organizations, and has served as the Treasurer of the Stark County Bar Association for over 30 years.
