Jason (Jay) Deeds has practiced law for more than 34 years. He is a member of the firm’s Business, Estates & Trusts, Labor & Employment, and Real Estate Practice Groups.
Jay advises clients primarily in business, estate, trust and real property matters. Prior to attending Ohio Northern University’s College of Law, he earned a Bachelors degree from Denison University where he was active in a fraternity, sports, student judicial counsel and a variety of other organizations. Jay is a member of the Tuscarawas County and Ohio State Bar Associations.
Active in the Dover - New Philadelphia community, Jay currently serves on the Tuscarawas County YMCA Board of Trustees. He has served as a trustee of Union Hospital, now Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital, (Chairman 2012 - 2014) and the Tuscarawas County Community Improvement Corporation (CIC). He is a past member of the Tuscarawas County YMCA Board of Directors and Board of Trustees (Chairman 2010). Additionally, he has served on the boards of the Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce, Dover Schools Education Foundation, the Dover Soccer Association, the Tuscarawas Philharmonic and United Way of Tuscarawas County (Campaign Chairman and Board President). Jay is also a member and past President of the Dover Rotary Club.
