National Labor Relations Board (NRLB) Has Issued a New Rule

The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has issued a rule requiring that all employers that are subject to the National Labor Relations Act notify their employees of their union and concerted rights under the NLRA. These rights include:

1. Organize a union
2. Form, join or assist a union
3. Discuss wages and benefits and other terms and conditions of employment with co-workers or union
4. Bargaining collectively
5. Strike and picket
6. Take action to improve working conditions (including filing complaints and seeking help from a union)

The rule will take effect on April 30, 2012. The NLRB is requiring that this notification be posted and the posted notice be no smaller than 11” x 17".
