Dave Hanhart has been in the general practice of law in Tuscarawas County since 1980. He was the senior active principal of Hanhart, Deeds & Bauer, a Dover, Ohio law firm which merged its practice with Black McCuskey in July 1999. Dave’s practice focuses on corporate law, estate planning and probate and real property law.
He is Managing Partner of American Title Associates Agency, Inc.’s Dover Office, a full- service real estate escrow and title company which is a subsidiary of Black McCuskey. Dave is a member of the Tuscarawas County, Ohio State Bar Associations and a member of the Ohio Land Title Association.
He is very active in the Tuscarawas County community. Currently he serves as a Board member and Past Chairman of the Tuscarawas County Port Authority and has recently served terms on the Tuscarawas County YMCA Board of Directors and Board of Trustees. Dave has worked on several capital campaigns for building expansions to the Tuscarawas County YMCA, Community Professional Services, Inc., and the Dover Public Schools. He is also a Trustee of the Tuscarawas County Community Foundation, serving as Chairman of its Grant Making Committee.
Dave has served as past director and past President of the Tuscarawas County Community Improvement Corporation (CIC), a non-profit corporation that promotes economic development and job creation in Tuscarawas County. He has also been instrumental in advancing the objectives of Community Professional Services, Inc., now known as Community Mentalhealth Care, Inc., a provider of mental health and counseling services, having served as a past board member and president of this organization. He now serves as legal counsel to Agency.
