Christian Petronelli is an associate with Black McCuskey Souers & Arbaugh, LPA, and focuses his practice in the areas of labor & employment, zoning, environmental law and general litigation.

During his undergraduate work, he was a member of the Kent State University Honors College. In his third year, Christian was named Outstanding Junior in the College of Business by the Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society.

While in law school, Christian was a two year member of the University of Akron Law Review where he served as assistant and associate articles editor. He was also a member of the University of Akron Moot Court Honor Society and participated in the 2007 Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. Christian was the recipient of the CALI Award for Excellence in the areas of Contract Law, Workers’ Compensation, Legislative Process, and the Environmental Law of Wetlands. He was also awarded the 2004-2005 Ernest Karam Award for Academic Excellence for his academic accomplishments in the area of Contract Law.

Christian worked as a summer associate with Black, McCuskey in 2006. During law school, he served as a law clerk for a Bankruptcy Trustee in Mahoning County, Ohio and also clerked for one of Ohio’s largest medical malpractice defense firms. He is a member of both the Stark County and Ohio State Bar Associations.
